Acer’s Swift 7 is your new ‘world’s thinnest laptop’ – and now it’s got a price

Acer’s Swift 7 is your new ‘world’s thinnest laptop’ – and now it’s got a price to go along with its self-proclaimed title.

Acer first unveiled the Swift 7 back at IFA 2016, but final release details were thin on the ground out in Berlin beyond a purported October launch.

The company has held good on its promise, and has now revealed that the Kaby Lake-packing Windows 10 machine will sport a $1,099 RRP in the United States according to Acer’s official online store.

However, other US retailers including Best Buy and Amazon have the laptop tagged at $999.

UK release details are still to be confirmed, but based on that, we’d expect an old world price tag of around £949-£1000.

We’re contacting Acer’s UK representatives and will report back if we’re able to glean any additional information.

The Swift 7 measures just 9.98mm in depth and offers a 13.3-inch Full HD display, Core i5 processor based on Intel’s new-gen Kaby Lake architecture and 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a 2,770mAh battery Acer claims will last for up to nine hours.
