2. Canon PowerShot SX540 bridge camera (was £350, now £200)

With an all-new CMOS sensor, a faster DIGIC 6+ processor and iSAPS technology, the Canon PowerShot SX540 can take stunning shots quicker than ever before. Coming equipped with a 50x optical zoom, a broad focal range and optical image stabilisation, this bridge camera has plenty of nifty features that are usually reserved for DSLRs. And there’s plenty of creative modes, too, including a Full Manual mode to help budding photographers get to grips with the tech.

Currys has knocked £150 off this high-performance bridge camera, bringing the price down to a more affordable £200.

3. Sony DSC-RX10 camera (was £830, now £617)

Maybe they offered as something of a consolation prize for shoppers who didn’t get their hands on any bargains during the Black Friday, but whatever the reason, Amazon has slashed the price on the Sony DSC-RX10. This 20.2-megapixel camera is a tad larger than the average DLR as it contains a hefty 1-inch BSI CMOS sensor, which should assure you of the quality of the images it captures. For the rest of, well, today, you can pick it up for just £619.

4. Canon EOS M100 Mirrorless camera (was £429, now £379)

7. Canon Ixus 190 Compact Camera (was £139, now £99)

Another one in the Why Wait sale, the Canon Ixus 190 boasts a 20-megapixel sensor and DIGIC 4+ processor that will have you taking ultra-crisp, high-quality images in no time. You can also record movies at 720p resolution, and upload what you take to another device or cloud via the wi-fi or NTC function. And if you have (shock horror) selfies of you and your friends in mind, you can set up the camera and operate it remotely from your smartphone. This has dropped in price by £40 to £100.
