Google Maps now lets Android users to add multiple destinations

The new feature will allow users to add as many destinations they want under the directions interface.

It barely ever happens that I ever get through my day without using Google Maps. The navigation app is so helpful, many smartphone users rely on it for looking up directions, finding gas stations or ATMs around, among other things. Google is now making the app better with the addition of multiple destinations support.

The multiple destination feature has been there for quite some time on Google Map’s desktop site. The new update will allow Android users to add different destinations after they have entered the start and end point of a trip. Therefore, instead of waiting for a trip to get over and mapping individual routes between two points, user will now be able to navigate directions from point A to point B to point C to point D and so on.

Google is rolling out the feature on the server-side as part of the 9.31 version of the application, reports Android Police. The version is still rolling out on the Play Store, however, users who have the updated app may not automatically receive the feature. But you would know that you have received the update when you see a “+” sign floating under the directions interface.

Other than that, there are some more changes that Google Maps will be coming with. The new update also allows users to add title to their travels and make side notes. The update will include a redesigned timeline feature that gives you the details of the places you have visited in the past, along with some other travel statistics. The timeline feature reminds me of the My Activity dashboard that Google added yesterday, which shows all the pages, links and sites a user visited, the videos they saw, basically the entire log of their search history since they started using Google services.
