If you’ve been itching to try your hand at daytime long exposure photography but aren’t sure how to jump in, here’s a great simple and straightforward 12-minute tutorial on the subject by photographer Adam Karnacz of First Man Photography.
Karnacz covers all the basics and teaches through doing. The video was made during a trip to Whitby in North Yorkshire, England, during which Karnacz captures three long exposure photos, each in a different location:
“One of the really nice things about long exposure photography is it really says to the viewer that it’s not just a snapshot,” Karnacz says. “You have literally put the time and the effort in to capture something different than anyone else walking by would have captured.”
