HTC is prepping a new flagship phone for us to see – rumors point to it being called the HTC 10 – and it seems one of the main focuses will be on the audio technology.
A teaser video (which you can watch at the end of this article) from the firm states, “we’re bringing you the best BoomSound yet” and claims the company is “obsessed with sound”.
The teaser mentions high fidelity audio as well as hi-res audio. Hi-res audio is used to refer to “better than CD” quality audio and is usually found in dedicated audio equipment.
Turn it up to 11
HTC has focused on smartphone audio for a number of years now, originally co-developing a powerful sound system with Beats Audio for the One (M7). BoomSound continued onto the HTC One M8 and One M9, giving users clearer audio from the speakers.
HTC will be unvieling its next flagship smartphone at an April 12 event, and from the numerous leaks, rumors and teases it looks set to be the HTC 10 which will be rocking “the best BoomSound ever.”
The latest leaks suggest it’ll have a Super LCD 5 screen and a 3000mAh battery to power it. You can watch the brand new teaser for the HTC 10 below.
