InFocus Bingo 50+ with 4G VoLTE support, Android Marshmallow 6.0 launched, priced at Rs 7,999: Specifications, features

The new InFocus Bingo 50+ is an upgrade over the Bingo 50 that was launched earlier this year. The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,999 and will be exclusively via Amazon India.

Earlier this month, InFocus had listed the Bingo 50+ smartphone on its website, but there was no word on the pricing or availability. Until now that is. Today, the company has revealed that the Bingo 50+ is priced at Rs 7,999 and will be exclusively available via Amazon India. Buyers can choose from silver and gold color variants. As the name suggests, the Bingo+ is an upgraded version of Bingo 50 featuring a better display, processor and camera. Here’s what new in the smartphone.

One of the major upgrades on the Bingo 50+ is the full-metal body, which was missing on the Bingo 50. Also unlike the Bingo 50, the new smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box, wrapped under InFocus’ InLife UI 2.0. The Bingo 50+ also comes with 4G and VoLTE support, which is not only a trend in this price range, but also makes the smartphone future-proof. This is also the first time, InFocus has partnered Amazon India to sell the Bingo 50+, as its previous smartphones were only available via Snapdeal.

InFocus Bingo 50+ Specifications

The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It also offers 16GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 64GB.

On the photography front, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Other features include HDR and full-HD video recording. The smartphone is also equipped with a 2,600mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough to offer standby time of 480 hours and talk time of up to 12 hours. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports options such as VoLTE, LTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Looking at the specifications, the InFocus Bingo 50+ will face competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 3S, and the LeEco Le 1s to name a few.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 3S Prime may cost Rs 1,000 more, but it does offer value for money. In addition to the full-metal body, the smartphone features a 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, microSD card slot, 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front facing camera, dual-SIM, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi. Its advantages over the Bingo 50+ include a fingerprint scanner at the back, and a massive 4,100mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Plus, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 7,999 and comes with a full-metal body and a fingerprint scanner which is embedded on the home button. The smartphone also features a 5-inch HD display, 1GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. There is also an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery.
