iPhone 7 Plus may take some features from the iPad Pro

Much like the iPad Air range, the iPhone 7 Plus may actually be released as an iPhone 7 Pro, with a few more productivity features.

The latest rumor suggests Apple may decide to make its new iPhone even slimmer than before, with a Smart Connector on the bottom of the phone, similar to the one on the iPad Pro.

Taiwanese smartphone supplier Catcher has previously leaked schematics of a potential iPhone 7 Pro, and now supply chain sources have allegedly confirmed the details are real to Japanese blog Mac Otakara.

The schematics suggest the headphone jack will be missing from the phone to ensure it can be thinner. It will also be missing front-facing speakers.

Plus or Pro?

We’d take these rumors with a big pinch of salt, as Mac Otakara has previously made claims about the iPhone that turned out to be inaccurate.

However, the fact that these details come from two different sources gives them a little more credibility.

We’re still not sure what that Smart Connector would be useful for. It’s unlikely Apple would supply a smart keyboard for the phone, so it may be for connecting headphones, if indeed the 3.5mm headphone jack is going.

We expect to know everything about the iPhone 7 in September.

Here’s what we think we know about the iPhone 7 so far

Looks like I won't be buying a new iPhone anytime soon, and not because of the removal of the headphone jack either, nope because the new design (if the leaks are to be believed) is hideous quit literally the worst design I've seen from Apple for a long time. Looks like I'll wait til the iPhone 8 for my next iPhone.

So the "Pro features" are that it'll be slimmer and not have an audio port? :-/
