iPhone SE likely to be launched on March 21, sends out invites

Apple on Thursday sent out official invitations for a media event to be held on March 21, wherein the company shall announce an all new 4-inch iPhone SE and a 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The 4-inch phone, which has created enough buzz, is likely to called the iPhone 5SE or simply the iPhone SE. It could come up with some top end feature like the Touch ID fingerprint scanner.

The invite was also shared on the Twitter page of Apple.

The main attraction of the event will be a smaller display iPhone that is said to sport metal-backed, curved-edge design similar to the current iPhone 6s with refreshed internals like an A9 processor and NFC support for Apple Pay.

The event will also showcase a revamped version of 9.7-inch iPad Pro which earlier was rumoured to be called iPad Air 3. Both products will be available for sale soon after the March 21 event.

The event may also see unveiling of new smaller iPad Pro and iPad Air. There could also be a new version of the Apple Watch OS and accessories.
