Latest Meizu smartwatch leak reveals metal body and leather straps

Meizu has been awfully silent on its smartwatch and the rumor boat has been unreliable as well. Now, a new leaked image has surfaced online which shows the back of the smartwatch with the Meizu logo. It was expected to launch in the August 10 event when Meizu launched the M3E, but apparently the company is taking its sweet time.

Rumors that Meizu is soon coming up with a smartwatch have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The smartwatch was rumored and actually expected to be unveiled in its August 10 event where Meizu M3E smartphone was launched, but apparently it has been delayed. Now, a new leaked image of the smartwatch has surfaced online that shows the back of the smartwatch.

The leaked image, which surfaced online on the Chinese social platform Weibo, shows the back of the smartwatch. The latest leaked image is in line with the leaked images that surfaced last month. According to the image, the Meizu smartwatch will come with leather strap and metal casing. The new image of the smartwatch also reveals the Meizu logo on its back along with two physical buttons on the side.

As mentioned earlier, the latest leaked images corroborate the previous leaks. Though the ones leaked last month showed Meizu logo on its dial but there were three buttons on the side. Besides the design, earlier rumors have also hinted that the device could be powered by Intel’s Rockchip RK6321 dual-core Cortex A5 processor.

Other than these there are no information about Meizu’s first smartwatch. As of yet there aren’t very credible sources for the Meizu smartwatch, so we will strongly advise you to take the information with the proverbial pinch of salt. That said, if the company launches the smartwatch by end of this year, it will surely face a heavy competition from the likes of Samsung, Apple and other brands which are in line to launch new smartwatches.
