Lenovo K3 Note Android Marshmallow 6.0 update now rolling out for users in India

Lenovo has finally started seeding the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to K3 Note users in India. The update brings new features such as the Doze mode, new app permissions and refreshed Google Now among others.

Lenovo K3 Note users rejoice! A couple months after Lenovo India’s head of product and marketing, Anuj Sharma shared a photo of the K3 Note phablet running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the company has finally started rolling out the update to users in India.

The update is being rolled out OTA (over-the-air) and carries a build number K50a40_S121_150813_ROW_TO_K50a40_S322_160314_ROW, GSMArena reports. The publication also states that the update weighs 1,657MB. As the update is being rolled out in phases, it may take a while until it hits your device.

Once the update is available, users will be prompted about the same. To manually check the update, you can head over to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check For Update.

The update brings all the goodness of Android 6.0 Marshmallow such as including Google Now on Tap, app permissions to let you control the information you share with apps, and the Doze mode that hibernates the background apps when the smartphone is left untouched for some time.
