Lost Odyssey is free on Xbox One right now

Lost Odyssey is available as a free download on Xbox One, acting as one of two Xbox 360 JRPGs hitting the system this week.

Microsoft is giving away the Japanese epic as a freebie to celebrate Xbox One reaching the 300 game milestone with its backward compatibility feature.

You can download Lost Odyssey from the Xbox Live Marketplace until December 31, and you won’t need the 4 discs required on Xbox 360.

Developed by Mistwalker, who also happened to develop Blue Dragon, another title hitting Xbox One this week through backwards compatibility.

Lost Odyssey launched exclusively for Xbox 360 back in 2007, giving JRPG fans a reason to care about Microsoft’s new console.

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer announced earlier this week that almost fifty percent of Xbox One users take advantage of backwards compatibility.
