Microsoft has revealed a range of tempting deals it will have on the boil for Black Friday on the computing front, including big discounts for its new Surface Pro hybrid and Windows Mixed Reality headsets (along with Xbox deals which we’ve highlighted here).
In the US, the headline deal is the new Surface Pro Core i5 model with 256GB of storage being reduced by $329 (from $1,299 to $970), and the version with a 128GB SSD will have $229 knocked off the price, meaning it will set you back $770. The latter will be even cheaper than the entry-level Core m3 Surface Pro is pitched at right now ($799).
Also, note that these reduced models will come bundled with the Black Type Cover, adding extra value to the purchase.
Microsoft is also reducing the Core i5 or i7 variants of the Surface Laptop with 256GB of storage by $200, starting from November 23 (next Thursday) running through to November 27 (Cyber Monday).
Mixing it up
Furthermore, the company is pushing its new Windows Mixed Reality headsets with up to $100 off Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung models, as well as up to $249 off PC plus headset bundles from Acer, Dell and HP.
And speaking of PCs, new Windows 10 machines will have up to $300 knocked off them at Microsoft’s online and bricks-and-mortar stores in the US.
As for the UK, Black Friday deals haven’t yet been confirmed, but they should be shortly, and we’d expect to see similar reductions on Surface devices and Mixed Reality headsets.
