Moto E3 with 5-inch HD display spotted on Zauba: Specifications, features

The Moto E3 could be launched in India soon. Though there’s no official announcement, the smartphone has been imported to India and was spotted on Zauba.

Motorola, which is now owned by Lenovo, had announced the entry-level Mote E3 smartphone back in July. The company had priced the smartphone at $131 in the US, which is roughly around to Rs 8,900 in India. While the company hasn’t made an official announcement yet, the Moto E3 could soon launch in India as it has been spotted on Zauba, India’s import-export site.

The listing reveals that a total of 30 units of the smartphone was imported for testing in India. Usually a launch is preceded by some units imported to India for testing. Hence it is safe to assume that the Moto E3 could soon be launching in India. As the name suggests, the Moto E3 will be the successor to the Moto E (2nd Gen) launched in India last year.

Moto E3 specifications

The smartphone features a 5-inch IPS HD (720p) display, and is powered by a quad-core processor. The Moto E3 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,800mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and dual-SIM 4G LTE. The Moto E3 also features a splash-proof body to protect it from accidental spills.

In comparison, last year’s Moto E (2nd Gen) featured a 4.5-inch qHD IPS LCD display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor, 1GB RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 2,390mAh battery.

If the Moto E3 launches in the above mentioned price range, it will face tough competition in the likes of the Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, Intex Aqua View and Panasonic Eluga A2.
