New leaked image of Moto Droid Z reveals support for MotoMods modular accessories

-owned Motorola has been teasing its new Moto smartphone over the social media for quite some time. It has already created a lot of buzz after it used a classic Razr smartphone to tease the new smartphone, which will launch on June 9. According to recent rumors, the new Moto smartphone will come with support for modular connectors, dubbed as MotoMods. Now, leakster Evan Blass has posted an image, which is likely to be the new Droid smartphone slated for June 9. The leaked image also confirms presence of the connector near the bottom of the back .

According to the image, the smartphone houses a big camera module on the rear along with ‘Droid’ branding followed by a ‘Moto’ logo. The leaked image also confirms support for the rumored MotoMods. The new accessories are likely to be unveiled alongside the two new Moto smartphones, rumored as the Moto Z Style and Moto Z Play. The new MotoMods are likely to bring added functionalities focused on photography, multimedia viewing and audio respectively.

If you look at the image closely, it resembles the previously leaked images of Motorola’s new upcoming flagship Motorola Moto Z. The only difference is the “Moto” branding being replaced with “Droid” branding under the camera lens.

According to earlier rumors, the Moto Z Style is likely to be the higher-end version with a 5.5-inch QHD display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor onboard. The Moto Z Play, on the other hand, is likely to come with a 5.5-inch full HD display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 620 chipset onboard. The smartphones will be available in three different colors- black, grey and golden-pink.
