New picture shows off the colours of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Eager for some more Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge eye candy ahead of the device’s official unveiling at MWC next week? Another press rendering has leaked onto the web showing the handset in its silver, black and gold guises.

Once again we have influential tipster @evleaks to thank for the advance peek at the hardware. The S7 Edge and the Galaxy S7 are expected to be announced by Samsung on 21 February in Barcelona.

Last year’s Galaxy S6 Edge was available in emerald green, black, white and gold. Whether we’ll see any other colours added to those shown off in this image remains to be seen, but the picture looks to be genuine.

Cutting edge specs

So what else do we know about the Galaxy S7 Edge? We’re expecting 4GB of RAM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the Exynos 8890 chipset to be powering everything under the hood of the 5.7-inch 2016 flagship from Samsung.

As for the smaller Samsung Galaxy S7, a 5.1-inch 1440 x 2560 display is on the cards, as well as many of the same internals. The handsets are rumoured to be coming with 12MP rear-facing cameras attached. A larger Galaxy S7 Edge Plus could be incoming too.

Oh and there’s the small matter of a huge 3600mAh battery too – this might really be a phone worth waiting for. We’ll be on the ground at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, bringing you all the news as it breaks.

Yeah as someone who actually likes almost every product (both apple and various android devices) the Priv is not a phone I would even start to consider. Blackberry is too far gone to make a comeback and the Priv is a joke. Sorry buddy but Samsung is not a fisher price toy its time to grow up and buy an adult phone. I wouldn't even be making this comment and calling you out if you weren't calling the galaxy s6 a "fisher price toy" the hardware put into that phone and note 5 for that matter got phone of 2015 on various tech sites. I hate touch wiz as much as the next guy but even I have to admit samsung devices this past year set the bar for what an almost perfect phone should be like.

I thought it was going to be 5.5"?

It's annoying the regular size Edge isn't coming so unless you want a phablet you have to get the lesser regular S7.

Lol nope. I like knowing. Unlike some idiots.

    TouchWiz. Enough said.

Yeah, something called a "real phone" and not a fisher price toy. lol

Look at what this "fisher price" does with the camera.

Well, at least one person is disillusioned enough to buy the Priv…

How isn't it a fisher price toy? It's one of the most plasticy pieces of crap I've ever seen in my life. The children's toys I played with at 5 years old were more serious looking than that. But you're a fanboy of Samsung's and that's okay. I can disregard everything you say just as easily. You like Samsung and Apple, and like how they rip each other off to make the most fisher price steaming pile of phones that they do. Go ahead and apologize for that as much as you want. I'll sit back with a bag of popcorn and laugh at how pathetic an attempt to say otherwise that this is. Have fun with your toy. :)

Tinfoil hat much? Nothing wrong with the Priv but credit where credit is due, Samsung has a fantastic camera on the Galaxy S6. Most reviews have it as the best camera on a smartphone currently.

With as due respect (I would hate to be impolite to anyone) but I guess we are all idiots here and onstrike112 is all-knowing. BB what a joke (in my view) but hey if you like it then I'm glad that they are still manufacturing it. I don't like apple phone but its still a great phone and many love it – just because I don'y like it does make it rubbish. I have a S6 edge and thinking on getting S7 edge but I wonder why onstrike112 is reading this post! Are you bored and looking for petty arguments? I sure your BB gives you as much joy as my s6 edge – thankyou for letting us know that we are all idiots, Mr wiseguy.

You mean like that PC you have, which still has a typewriter keyboard? Or that phone with GSM technology from the 80's? You're a hypocrite. Have fun with your fisher price toy, and I'll use my real phone, built for productivity and security. :)

How many times has Facebook probed your position? Oh right, you can't find out!!! I can! 193 times in the past 7 days. :)

If the Edge is really moving to a Boom Box 5.7 inch size, that's a deal breaker for me …. bigger is not Better for a smart phone!!!

It's made of glass and metal.. I notice Blackberry has copied the S6 Edge design, then added a plastic keyboard to it – Very premium.. If you don't like TouchWiz install another UI I use Nova Launcher. Thats the magic of Android, which I also not Blackberry has decided to use, one of there better decisions of late.
