OnePlus 3 will reportedly come in 6 variants, live photos, benchmark results leaked

The upcoming OnePlus smartphone will likely be offered in 4GB or 6GB of RAM, along with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants.

OnePlus is all set to unveil its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3 in less than 10 days. Ahead of the launch, the company has already mentioned that the smartphone will be available without invites, right from day one. OnePlus has also released the first official teaser of the smartphone a couple of days back. Now, the latest report claims that the OnePlus 3 will be offered in six different variants.

We already know that the OnePlus 3 will be offered in 4GB and 6GB RAM with 32GB or 64GB storage. Now, a Phandroid claims that the OnePlus 3 will also be offered in 128GB storage with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

In another leak, live photos of the OnePlus 3 in grey color variant have also surfaced. One of the photos also offer a glimpse at the OxygenOS UI based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is pretty close to Google’s Material Design in appearance. The other photos show off the back and sides of the smartphone, but the OnePlus logo and certification is missing from them.

That’s not all; someone also managed to run the OnePlus 3 through paces on GeekBench test. Spotted by Telefoonabonnement.nl, the variant with model number A3003 was running on Qualcomm’s msm8996 Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 1.59GHz and paired with 6GB of RAM. It logged a score of 2,394 and 5,635 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

OnePlus 3 specifications, features: From what we know so far, the OnePlus 3 could feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, and will be powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. In the photography department, a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera are expected.

The OnePlus 3 could pack a 3,000mAh battery along with fast-charging ‘Dash Charge’ feature. Expected to run on Android Marshmallow-based OxygenOS, connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C port are likely to be in tow.

In terms of pricing, OnePlus 3 could start at 2,299 Yuan (Rs 23,400 approximately) for the 32GB + 4GB RAM variant and goo all the way up to 2,799 Yuan (Rs 28,500 approximately) for the 64GB storage + 6GB RAM variant.

Like last year, the OnePlus 3 launch event will also be live-streamed in virtual reality. OnePlus has specially created a virtual space station called ‘The Loop’ where the unveiling will take place. Ahead of the launch, the company also unveiled a Loop VR headset, which it will be offering for Re 1 via flash sale on Amazon India on June 7 at 12PM. However, users will have to bear the shipping costs.
