Reliance Digital LYF Flame 2, LYF Wind 4 VoLTE smartphones launched, prices start at Rs 4,799: Specifications, features

Reliance has introduced two new budget smartphones under its LYF brand.

Reliance Digital has continued to expand its VoLTE-enabled LYF smartphone line up. It has now launched two new budget smartphones, LYF Flame 2 and LYF Wind 4, priced at Rs 4,799 and Rs 6,899 respectively. Both smartphones are listed on the official LYF website and are also available through Reliance Digital’s offline stores.

Reliance Digital LYF Flame 2 specifications and features: The smartphone has a 4-inch display with WVGA resolution and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The LYF Flame 2 comes with 8GB of internal storage, supports expandable storage up to 32GB.

On the photography front, the LYF Flame 2 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. The smartphone is armed with a 1,500mAh battery.

The LYF Flame 2 looks to be a stripped down version of the LYF Flame 1, which launched earlier this year for Rs 6,799. The LYF Flame 1 has slightly upgraded features such as 5-megapixel front facing camera, 2,000mAh battery and a relatively large 4.5-inch FWVGA display.

At Rs 4,799, the LYF Flame 2 will compete against the InFocus M2, Micromax Canvas Spark 2 and Intex Cloud Fame among other entry-level sub-Rs 5,000 smartphones. Together with VoLTE support and Jio’s content app ecosystem gives it an advantage over the competition.

Reliance Digital LYF Wind 4 specifications and features: The smartphone has a 5-inch HD display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage and supports expandable storage up of 128GB.

The LYF Wind 4 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. A large 4,000 mAh battery powers the smartphone.

At Rs 6,799, the smartphone will go head to head with the likes of Coolpad Note 3 Lite, Meizu m2 and Moto E 4G. Yet again, the VoLTE support and massive 4,000mAh battery over its competitors give the LYF Wind 4 and advantage over its competitors.
