Samsung introduces its new C-series of smartphones in China with support for Samsung Pay onboard.

Introducing its new C-series, Samsung has launched two new smartphones called the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in China. Both smartphones feature full metal bodies with 2.5D curved glass design. For now the new smartphones have only been launched in China, and there’s no word on when they will arrive in other markets, including India.

Price: Samsung has priced the Galaxy C5 around $330 (Rs 22,100 approximately), while the Galaxy C7 is priced around $396 (Rs 26,000 approximately). Both devices will be available in four color options — gold, pink-gold, silver, and grey.

The Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 are similar in many ways. Both run on Android Marshmallow 6.0, and have a fingerprint scanner integrated in the physical home button. The smartphones share the same cameras, storage capacity and RAM as well. The major differentiators are the size of the display and the processor under the hood.

Samsung Galaxy C5 specifications, features: The Galaxy C5 is the smaller of the two devices and flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes in 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants, and there is also an option to expand the storage up to 128GB using a microSD card.

On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It also features a 2,600mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support, and connectivity options like dual-SIM slots (hyrbid setup), 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS and NFC.

Samsung Galaxy C7 specifications, features: The Galaxy C7 is a slightly bigger device with 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM.

It too features a 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, and two storage options. It also comes with a bigger 3,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Another thing worth mentioning is that both new smartphones support Samsung Pay out-of-the-box. This service was recently introduced in China.
