Samsung Galaxy S7 hands-on video gives a closer look at design and TouchWiz UI

With just three days to go for Samsung’s unpacked event at the MWC 2016, the Galaxy S7 has been revealed in a leaked hands-on video. The specifications of the smartphone have been leaked too.

Samsung is all set to take wraps off its next-gen flagships, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, at the MWC 2016 on February 21. In the run up to the launch event, we have come across tons of leaks and rumors, which offered a glimpse at the smartphone’s design, color options and more. Now, in the latest leak, the Galaxy S7 has been featured in a brief hands-on video, which shows off its front and back side, along with the revamped TouchWiz UI.

Citing sources, Android Authority has obtained details about the specifications and features of the Galaxy S7. Besides showing the front and back of the smartphone, the video also shows off the microSD card and nanoSIM card slot.

Samsung Galaxy S7 specifications and features: The smartphone is likely to flaunt a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and powered by either Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chipset under the hood. With 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage, a microSD card is also present for further expansion.

The smartphone also packs a 12-megapixel rear camera, IP68 (or IP67) certification for water resistance and a 2,800mAh battery, Android Authority reports. The battery capacity is 200mAh less than previously rumored 3,000mAh. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with TouchWiz UI on top. On the connectivity front, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ad, NFC are expected. However, unlike earlier reports, the Galaxy S7 won’t feature USB Type-C port.

Some earlier rumors also pointed to the smartphone sporting Apple’s 3D Touch like pressure sensitive display, we will have to wait until February 21 to see what Samsung has in store for its customers.
