Under the current government, Indian politicians have become increasingly active on social media, especially Twitter. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been one of them with a constantly buzzing Twitter profile. Whenever anybody in need has tweeted to Swaraj, she has promptly responded to them. But a man mistook Swaraj’s intentions and tweeted her asking for help in fixing his faulty refrigerator. Swaraj’s reply will have you in splits.
A man named Venkat yesterday tweeted Sushma Swaraj complaining about his broken refrigerator. His tweet was accompanied by his refrigerator’s model and serial number. And, he also tagged the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan in the tweet. He even attached a screenshot of his email conversation thread with Samsung. Following was his tweet:

One would usually choose to ignore such tweets, but Swaraj had the perfect reply and she gave it back to him like a pro! The minister replied to him with a very honest reply, which was hilarious and has won the internet over. At the time of filing this story, Swaraj’s response had more than 5,000 retweets. She tweeted:

Venkat probably tagged both the ministers thinking if these ministers reach out to so many people in distress, they would help him out too. However, Venkat’s tweet was just impossible to be spared by the Twitteratis and of course he got trolled big time.

Sushma Swaraj has been quite active on social media and has used Twitter as a mean to help out people in distress. Some of her noteworthy achievements include saving a man’s sister from human traffickers. It is little wonder then Swaraj is among the top-10 most followed political leaders on Twitter, and was ranked as the best performing minister on social media by the Modi government.
