Triad-Orbit Advanced Stand Systems- NAB 2017

Triad-Orbit were showing their Advanced Stand Systems at NAB 2017. Although not new, we thought these stands would be of interest to our audience so we decided to stop by and check them out on the show floor.

The Triad-Orbit stands are primarily designed for using with microphones and other audio equipment, but they work equally as well with lights, monitors and even small cameras. The stands aren’t light and some of the larger versions like the T3C come in at around 15lb (6.8kg). The whole reason for this weight is that so they don’t fall over, even if the stands legs are close together. The heavy weight of the stand allows the user to create a small foot print while maintaining stability.

The Triad base has four ratcheted positions that provide a pitch of up to 65 degrees that allows the stand to be placed on uneven surfaces. A foot-actuated latch on each leg provides hands-free adjustability.

The other unique aspect about the stands is that they use the companies IO Quick-Change Coupler which allows you to just snap in a variety of different sized heads to accommodate anything you may need to attach.

The Triad TC3 can go up to a height of 75.5″ (191.77cm) and costs $329US.
