Yahoo updates its Messenger app for Windows and Mac with new features

The updated version of Yahoo Messenger allows users to send photos and animated GIFs. Options like drag and drop allows sending multiple photos at once. Users can also like any post or image on the latest update.

Yahoo has updated its Messenger app for Windows and Mac, allowing users a fast way to send not only messages but also photos and animated GIFs. Among the new features, the “drag and drop” option allows users share multiple photos at once and “like” any posts or images that stand out to them.

Using the messenger’s desktop notifications, users can multitask without having to worry about missing an important message from family, friends or co-workers. Yahoo has also introduced the unsend button — one of the most popular features now on desktop. It allows you to take back a message, photo or GIF even after you’ve pressed send. The upgraded Yahoo Messenger desktop app is available for download on Windows and Mac by August 5, the company said.

Yahoo Mail had recently introduced several new updates for iOS and Android operating platforms that are focused on allowing users to add personal touch to their inbox. Yahoo now allows iOS users to take back an email right after it’s been sent. After you press send, an option to “undo” will appear at the bottom of your inbox feed for three seconds. Just click that and you’ll stop the email from sending.
