The Coolpad Max lets you run two WhatsApp accounts on one smartphone.
Coolpad has today launched its latest flagship smartphone Coolpad Max in India. Priced at Rs 24,999, the smartphone is exclusively available via Amazon India starting from May 30. The Coolpad Max comes with a ‘Dual in One’ feature, which encrypts smartphone data such as calls and text messages along with providing additional security feature for other content on the smartphone.
It also comes with unique SIM management tool allowing users to run dual accounts for apps like WhatsApp, Messenger on the same smartphone. The smartphone also comes with fingerprint scanner. The Coolpad Max is available in royal gold and rose gold color variants.
Coolpad Max specifications, features: The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) curved 2.5D display. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Cool UI. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB RAM. Also on offer is 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD.
The Coolpad Max also features a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is powered by a 2,800mAh battery.
It is worth pointing out that Coolpad Max was launched in China last year for 2,298 Yuan (Rs 23,500 approximately). Considering that the smartphone is about seven months old, it could have been priced at much lower price.
At Rs 24,999, the smartphone is the most expensive Coolpad device in India right now, and will face tough competition from powerhouses like OnePlus 2, Asus Zenfone 2, and the Xiaomi Mi 5 to name a few. These smartphones offer relatively better set of specifications and features as well.
