Will CREO now be able to tempt buyers with the Mark 1’s price tag of Rs 13,999?
CREO launched its first smartphone in India a couple of months back. At the time of launch, the Mark 1 was priced at Rs 19,999, but it has now received a massive price cut. At the time of filing the story, the Mark 1 is available on Flipkart for Rs 13,999, which marks a Rs 6,000 price slash. At this price range, the Mark 1 will now be pit against popular smartphones in this range like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and the Lenovo ZUK Z1 among others.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 32GB variant is priced at Rs 11,999, while the ZUK Z1 is priced at Rs 13,499. On paper, both these smartphones offer much more than CREO‘s Mark 1. The Redmi Note 3 features a fingerprint scanner, VoLTE support and a 4,050mAh battery, whereas the Zuk Z1 also comes with bigger 4,100mAh battery and a fingerprint embedded into the home button.
That said, the Mark 1 does have a QHD display, 21-megapixel rear camera to name a few. Besides the specifications list, one of the talking points of the Mark 1 is the customized Android OS, called Fuel. To keep things new, the company promises monthly updates that introduce new features every time. Since launch, CREO has rolled out two updates for the Mark 1, which have brought in new features like data manager, selfie flash, photo editor, and custom audio effects among others.
CREO Mark 1 specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.95GHz Mediatek Helio X10 true octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It also offers 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The Mark 1 also comes with a 21-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and 4K video recording capabilities, 8-megapixel selfie camera, 3,100mAh battery with Fast Charging support, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, the Mark 1 runs on Android-based Fuel OS.
