Telecom, IT-Software, ITeS and Healthcare sectors top the hiring chart in June.
The Telecom and IT saw a growth in their hiring by 22 percent in June 2016. A survey says that other sectors will most likely pick up pace in the coming few months. The Naukri Job Speak Index for June 2016 was mainly led by sectors such as Telecom, IT-Software, ITeS and Healthcare. The Naukri Job Speak Index stood at 2,129 marking an increase of 22 percent in hiring activity as compared to that of the corresponding period last year.
“The job market continues to sustain the momentum gained over the past few months and is moving further north with an impressive 22 percent year-on-year growth in June 2016,” V Suresh, Chief Sales Officer, Naukri.com said.
Looking at the market index, V Suresh, Chief Sales Officer, Naukri.com said that other sectors will soon pick up the pace in the coming few months and compete in lines with It and Teleccom sectors. Looks like good times ahead for jobseekers, Suresh added.
As per the report, IT – hardware and telecom, and finance professionals witnessed an increase of 13 percent and 11 percent respectively, while demand for professionals in marketing & advertising recorded remarkable growth of 34 percent. City-wise, all metro cities witnessed growth in jobs this year in June compared to the same time period last year. Among the metros, Delhi/NCR reported a year-on-year growth of 46 percent in June, followed by Chennai and Hyderabad at 43 percent and 36 percent respectively.
Mumbai and Bengaluru recorded an increase of 24 percent and 18 percent respectively, whereas Pune witnessed an increase of 13 percent in June this year.
