iBall Andi 5L Rider with 5-inch display, 1GB of RAM launched for Rs 4,999: Specifications and features

The iBall Andi 5L Rider is an entry-level smartphone with 3G and dual-SIM support. The smartphone will compete against the likes of Reliance LYF Flame 5, Flame 6 and Phicomm Clue 630 4G smartphones.

iBall has launched a new smartphone, the Andi 5L Rider, which is priced at Rs 4,999. The smartphone will be available in white, brown and blue color options. The Andi 5L Rider comes with 9 Indian regional languages support and 21 Indian regional languages for reading and writing. The company is also offering a free protective cover with the smartphone.

The iBall Andi 5L Rider features a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480) full capacitive IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also on offer is 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded to 32GB via microSD card.

For photography, the iBall Andi 5L Rider sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front- facing camera. It comes with 2,300mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 3G, dual-SIM, Bluetooth V4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. There is no word on whether the smartphone will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Looking at the specifications, the iBall Andi 5L Rider will compete against a slew of entry-level Android smartphones. While the iBall Andi 5L Rider supports 3G connectivity, smartphones like the Reliance LYF Flame 5 and Phicomm Clue 630 come with 4G support. Reliance also offers a few smartphones like the Flame 3, Flame 4, Flame 5 and Flame 6 with VoLTE support for as low as Rs 2,999. The Phicomm Clue 630 is available online for Rs 3,700 approximately.
