It’s turning out to be a cracker of a Saturday, and two Asian giants are meeting each other in two separate competitions. Indian women entered the tournament on a high, and won their first match against Bangladesh with relative ease. Harmanpreet Kaur starred that day with her all-round performance, as the Indian eves beat their opponents by 72 runs. A win today will give Mithali Raj’s team a huge boost and help them progress to the knockout round.

The same can’t be said about Sana Mir-led Pakistan women team though. In their first match against West Indies women, they narrowly lost the tie by four runs. While Pakistan’s batting lineup is a bit weak, its bowling lineup boasts of the effective slow left-arm orthodox bowler Anam Amin. Amin made use of the Indian conditions well and picked up four wickets for only 16 runs against the Caribbean team.
