Latest HTC 10 leaked photos leave nothing to imagination ahead of April 12 launch

Ahead of its official launch tomorrow, HTC 10 has been leaked again. The leaked photos offer a glimpse at the already known design, the Sense 8 UI and also sheds light on specifications and availability.

April 12 is almost here and it all but guarantees a new, long-awaited flagship Android smartphone from HTC. MWC 2016 saw the launch of Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 among others. Now, it’s the Taiwanese company’s turn to unveil what it has been working on, and if it’s worth the wait. In a new leak, two new photos have surfaced on Dutch site GSM Helpdesk, offering a cleanest look at the smartphone. The publication also notes that the HTC 10 will be available ‘worldwide’ by mid-May.

The leaked photos show the HTC 10 black color variant, shot from front and back. The smartphone borrows its design cues from the HTC One A9. As seen in the past leaks and renders, the front panel does not have the HTC logo, and has a physical home button and capacitive keys below the screen. The physical home button is also said to double as a fingerprint sensor, just like the One A9.

While the speaker grille for BoomSound speakers is absent, the HTC 10 is still expected to pack stereo speakers – with one at the bottom and one around underneath the earpiece grille. HTC has already teased that the smartphone would come equipped with the ‘best BoomSound yet’ with Hi-Fi audio. The leaked photos also offer a glimpse at the HTC Sense UI 8, which is likely to run under Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

HTC 10 specifications and features: From what we know so for, the HTC 10 could pack a 5.2-inch QHD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 16GB, 32GB and 128GB storage options. A microSD card for further expansion is also expected.

On the camera front, a 12-UltraPixel camera with laser auto-focus and a front-facing 8-megapixel camera are expected. Both cameras are likely to include optical mage stabilization (OIS). In terms of connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C port are expected. The smartphone is also expected to pack a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and extreme power saving mode.

HTC will be live streaming the launch event tomorrow at 6:30PM IST, and we will keep you updated about the HTC 10 as and when it goes official. Till then, stay tuned.
