The LeEco Le 2s has been spotted on Chinese Regulatory site TENAA. The smartphone is said to come with a 5.5-inch display, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and a USB Type-C port to name a few. The smartphone is expected to launch on September 9.

LeEco is expected to launch the Le 2s smartphone on September 9. Even as we inch closer to the launch, rumors and leaks about the smartphone have continued to emerge online. While recent rumors have suggested that the smartphone will come with full metal design, earlier leaks pointed to a new antenna design, which is similar to the highly rumored iPhone 7. According to a recent leaked image though the smartphone retained old antenna design, but highly resembled HTC’s One M8. Another major rumor that was doing the rounds is that the smartphone could come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, and whopping 8GB of RAM. While rumors about the Le 2s continue to pour in, the latest set of information about the smartphone comes via China’s regulator TENAA.

The LeEco Le 2s has made it to TENNA, and the listing gives us a good idea about what to expect from the smartphone. According to the listed image, the smartphone, which bears the model number LEX652, sports a metal unibody design with a fingerprint scanner placed on the back. The fingerprint scanner is accompanied by the main camera right above. The images shows of two camera sensors and is said to come with a 13-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. Going by the TENAA listing, the smartphone measures 152.4 x 75.1 x 7.5mm and weighs 168 grams and will be available in gold, silver, black, pink gold and white color variants.

Few leaked photos showed the front of the LeEco Le 2s, revealing very thin bezels along with 2.5D glass. The volume buttons and power buttons are placed on the side while the camera cut out hints at the LED flash.

LeEco Le 2s specifications

Going by the TENAA listing, the smartphone is said to be powered by a MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. The smartphone is also said to pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Le 2s will pack 3,900mAh battery and is said to ditch the 3.5mm audio port just like the Le 2-series and opt for the USB Type-C based CDLA technology for audio instead. The Le 2s will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on top of LeEco’s UI.

These specs and features are very different from what we had seen on the recent GFXBench listing, which revealed that the LeEco Le2s will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display. The smartphone will come in 8GB and 4GB variants. Both will be powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. It might be possible that the smartphone could be available in multiple variants. Right now, we will suggest you take the information with a pinch of salt as there is no official confirmation on the same. We are likely to find out more details as we near the September 9 launch.
