OPPO has launched the F1 Plus selfie-focused smartphone in India with a 16-megapixel front camera. It goes on sale from later this month for Rs 26,990.
As expected, OPPO has today launched the F1 Plus smartphone today in India. This is the second smartphone in the ‘F’ series, after the launch of the F1 smartphone earlier this year. The new OPPO F1 Plus too is targeted at the selfie-loving crowd, and boasts a 16-megapixel front camera. The new smartphone is priced at Rs 26,990, and goes on sale sometime in mid-April.
OPPO’s new smartphone, is essentially the OPPO R9 smartphone that was launched in China last month. It boasts a slim unimetal body with ultra-slim 1.66mm bezels, but the highlight is the 16-megapixel selfie camera up front with f/2.0 aperture. The selfie cam also comes with what OPPO calls Beautify 4.0 mode.
OPPO F1 Plus specifications, features: The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) AMOLED display, and is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P10 octa-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. It also features 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The F1 Plus also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2,850mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge feature. OPPO says that by charging the battery for five minutes, you will get up to two hours of talktime. It also boasts a fingerprint scanner embedded into the physical home button up front, which the company claims is fast enough to unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G support on both SIMs, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based Color OS 3.0.
