Last week, Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Prime in Vietnam. Now it could bring the smartphone to India soon with a price tag of Rs 18,790.

Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Prime in Vietnam last week, and now it seems to be planning on bringing the smartphone to India. While there’s been no official announcement yet, Samsung could launch the smartphone in India soon, with a price tag of Rs 18,790. One of the talking points of the upcoming smartphone will be the NFC-based S-Bike feature, which was launched with the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) smartphone earlier this year.

According to Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime launching in India will be powered by an Exynos octa-core processor. The smartphone features a metal unibody and also has a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button up front. This will be a major differentiating factor, since the Galaxy J7 (2016) didn’t have the feature. While the retailer claims that the display on the upcoming smartphone will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the listing on Samsung’s Vietnam website mentions Gorilla Glass 4.

The smartphones are priced at Rs 17,999 and Rs 17,990 respectively. The OPPO F1s, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, Mediatek MT6750 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 3,075mAh battery, and dual-SIM and 4G connectivity.

Besides launching the Galaxy J7 Prime, Samsung is also widely reported to be working on next-generation versions of the Galaxy Grand Prime, Galaxy On5 (2016) and Galaxy On7 (2016) as well. All three smartphones have been spotted online giving us a fair idea on what to expect from them. The only thing unknown is a date of launch.
