Samsung Galaxy S8 launch date tipped for MWC 2017 reveal

The Samsung Galaxy S8 launch date has been rumored as March 29, and while nothing is confirmed just yet, we will have a firm date by the end of the month.

Samsung’s president of its electronics’ mobile communications business, Koh Dong-jin has told Korean press that he will reveal the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch date during MWC 2017 at the end of February.

The South Korean firm does have a press conference scheduled for Sunday, February 26, although we expect it to be focused on tablets rather than phones. But rumors now suggest we’ll be shown a teaser trailer for the Galaxy S8 at the end, too.

Not just one phone

Samsung is hotly tipped to launch a duo of handsets, as it did with the S6 and S7 ranges, with the Galaxy S8 Plus lining up alongside the smaller Galaxy S8.

Both are rumored to boast Samsung’s sultry curved displays, improved cameras, more power under the hood, and could potentially drop the physical home button.

We’ll be reporting live from MWC 2017 in Barcelona to bring you all the latest from the show, including all the news from Samsung.
