Along with the Galaxy Note7, Samsung could also launch the Tizen-based Z2 in India tomorrow. A massive leak has revealed the specifications and features of the smartphone.
We are all aware by now that Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch a new Tizen OS-based smartphone in India alongside the Galaxy Note7 tomorrow. It is likely to be called Z2, and right before the launch, a massive leaked has revealed most of the upcoming smartphone’s specifications and features. The leak also adds that the Samsung Z2 will be a budget offering like the Z1 and Z3 that are already available in India.
This isn’t the first time we have come across reports suggesting that Samsung could launch the Z2 as early as tomorrow. A recent report claimed that Samsung will bundle the Z2 with Reliance Jio 4G Preview offer for 90 days. The offer will allow users to use unlimited HD voice calls, unlimited high-speed mobile data and unlimited access to Reliance Jio’s suite of apps that include Jio Drive, Jio Music, Jio Play, Jio Money and Jio Security among others services.
Samsung Z2 price
According to SamMobile, the Samsung Z2 could be priced around $70, which is approximately Rs 4,499. It is also set to be available in countries including India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, South Africa, Indonesia, Nepal and United Arab Emirates. If Samsung launches the Z2 around the Rs 4,500 mark, the smartphone will face tough competition from the likes of the Reliance Digital LYF Flame 8 and Intex Cloud Fame to name a few
Samsung Z2 specifications
As per the leak, the Samsung Z2 will feature a 3.97-inch (800×480 pixels) LCD display, and will be powered by a 1.5GHz processor paired with 1GB RAM. It is also likely to come with 8GB storage, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 1,500mAh battery and connectivity options like 4G with VoLTE support, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. On the software front, the smartphone will run on Tizen OS 3.0, and few reports also suggest that it will be equipped with S Bike Mode and My Money Transfer App.
