Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 to go on sale at 2PM today: Price, specifications and features

Xiaomi will be conducting the fifth flash sale for the Redmi Note 3 today. The sale will commence at 2PM via mi.com and Amazon India.

Xiaomi is set to put its Redmi Note 3 smartphone on sale for the fifth time. The sale will begin at 2PM on Amazon India and mi.com. The sale is only for the registered costumers. The company has not yet revealed the total number of units or the total number of registrations garnered for today’s sale.

As per the flash sale norms, Amazon India suggests that registered users be online before 2PM. During the sale if you are successful in adding a Redmi Note 3 to your cart, you will have 15 minutes to checkout. In case the Redmi Note 3 is out of stock, buyers will be automatically added to a waitlist.

If a buyer fails to checkout within 15 minutes, the customers in the waitlist will be notified about the smartphone’s availability. Those in the waitlist will have three minutes to add the Redmi Note 3 to their carts, and 15 minutes to checkout.

On the other hand Xiaomi is conducting Mi Fan Festival today and has announced three flash sales for the day. The first flash sale, which began at 11AM is already over. The next sale will commence at 2PM. The company has also put its flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone on sale for the first time today. The Xiaomi Mi5 is priced at Rs 24,999.

Apart from the Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi’s 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank will also be available. The company has dropped the price of the Mi4 16GB variant from Rs 14,999 to Rs 12,999 whereas the Redmi 2 Prime 16GB price has been slashed from Rs 6,999 to Rs 6,499.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 price, specifications and features: The Redmi Note 3 will be available in two variants — 16GB variant with 2GB of RAM for Rs 9,999, and the 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM for Rs 11,999. The 16GB variant features a 4,000mAh battery, while the 32GB variant has a bigger 4,050mAh battery.

Both variants have similar set of specifications that include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor, 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. They also include a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slot (hybrid), 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1-based MIUI 7.
