Lenovo’s sub-brand Zuk is likely to launch a successor to its Zuk Z1 smartphone. The new smartphone is expected to launch as the Zuk Z2 Pro.

Lenovo-backed Zuk is set to launch their next smartphone in China on April 21, dubbed as the Zuk Z2 Pro. Speculations about the Zuk Z2 Pro were triggered after Zuk CEO Chang Cheng announced on Weibo that the company is planning to soon launch a new smartphone.

Reports about the Zuk Z2 Pro come shortly after a yet to be released Zuk smartphone was spotted AnTuTu benchmarking listing. The benchmarks reveal some key specifications of the device, called Z2121, also believed to be the Zuk Z2 Pro. According to the listing, the ZUK Z2 Pro comes with full HD display. Under the hood the smartphone runs Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 3GB and 4GB of RAM along with 32GB internal storage.

On the camera front, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Other details about the smartphone are not available as yet.

Back in November, Zuk ZUK Z2’s images had surfaced online showing the smartphone featuring a rotating camera. The images also revealed a curved metal frame with a 2.5D glass, both at the front and the back. The company may launch two variants Z2 and Z2 Pro on April 21.
