The HTC Desire 10 is expected to launch sometime around September this year.

HTC is rumored to be working on a cheaper version of its flagship smartphone, the HTC 10. Dubbed as the HTC Desire 10, the smartphone is likely to be launched later this year. Replying to one of the tweets, Blass also mentioned that the HTC Desire 10 would come with a similar camera setup (dual LED flash and laser auto-focus) as the HTC 10. He also posted a photo of the purported camera module, which closely resembles the one on HTC 10. However, it remains to be seen if the company will add the new 12-megapixel (UltraPixel 2).

It will also be interesting to see which processor HTC chooses for the Desire 10. While it could go for a MediaTek processor, it might also consider Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 or 652, both of which are now making way to most of the mid-range smartphones. We would also love to see the BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers, selfie camera with OIS and a fingerprint scanner among other features on the Desire 10.

While there are no details on the expected pricing, Blass did mention that the smartphone is expected sometime at the ‘end of Q3.’ This could be around IFA 2016 trade show in Berlin, Germany, where the company had showcased the new Desire series smartphones in the past.
