Netgear launches Nighthawk X4S AC2600 Wi-Fi router for gamers

Netgear claims that the Nighthawk X4S AC2600 router will not only deliver a fast Wi-Fi connection to any device but also enables 160MHz-capable mobile devices to receive up to twice the data than other routers provide.

Netgear, a global provider of consumer and business networking products, has launched a new smart Wi-Fi router in India targeted at fast-paced gaming lovers. The Nighthawk X4S AC2600 router not only claims to deliver a fast Wi-Fi connection to any device but also enables 160MHz-capable mobile devices receive up to twice the data throughput provided by other routers, claims the company. The device optimizes usage of available bandwidth for supporting lag-free gaming and smoother streaming of HD video.

“Nighthawk X4S combines fastest network processor used in a retail router with the latest Wi-Fi technology for ensuring that your mobile devices support the best possible online experiences,” said Subhodeep Bhattacharya, Regional Director-India and SAARC, Netgear. “Fast-paced gaming enthusiasts will be thrilled by using the device,” he added. With its powerful dual-core 1.7GHz processor, the Nighthawk X4S AC2600 provides Wi-Fi speeds up to 2.53Gbps and supports up to four data streams in each Wi-Fi band, maximizing connection speeds for sending data to multiple mobile devices simultaneously.

Netgear had launched the Nighthawk X8 AC5300 Smart Wi-Fi Router (R8500) in India, last year. It delivers amazing internet performance with combined Wi-Fi speeds up to a blistering 5.3Gbps-plus, a new record for a home router, the company said in a release. This quad-stream, tri-band router provides more Internet bandwidth for all the devices in your home, so everyone in the family can stream movies and music, download files, surf the web, share photos, and enjoy online gaming — simultaneously and without lag.
