Sony has launched its selfie focused smartphone, the Xperia XA Ultra for in India. The smartphone is equipped with 21.5-megapixel rear camera and 16-megapixel front camera for selfie lovers.
After unveiling the Xperia XA Ultra in July, Sony has now launched the smartphone in India. Focused on selfie enthusiasts, the Xperia XA Ultra comes with 16-megapixel front camera with Exmor R sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and wide angle lens (up to 88 degrees) and HDR. Priced at Rs 29,990, the smartphone will be available in all Sony Center and major electronic stores across India starting July 27.
Sony is offering free three months of subscriptions of apps like Sony Liv and Hungama Play worth Rs 299 and Rs 750 respectively. The company is also offering free e-books worth Rs 1,000 with the Sony Xperia XA Ultra.The smartphone will be available in white, graphite black and lime gold colors.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra comes with a 6-inch full HD display. It is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 200GB via microSD card.

One of the major features of the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is the 16-megapixel front camera, which comes with Exmor R sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and wide angle lens (up to 88 degrees) and HDR. The Sony Xperia XA is one of the few smartphones like the HTC 10 to come with a front camera with the OIS support. The Sony Xperia XA Ultra also comes with 21.5-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor and auto focus.
The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The Xperia XA Ultra comes with a 2,700mAh battery which the company claims delivers up to two days of back. It also comes with quick charge feature which , the company claims will offer 5.5 hours of battery life by charging it for just 10 minutes. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, dual-SIM/single-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, Google cast, NFC, and micro-USB.
The smartphone will face direct competitions in the likes of Gionee Marathon M5 Plus and Zopo Speed 8.
