Twitter’s Night Mode may be coming to iPhone users

Last month, Twitter rolled out a night mode for Android users, now, Twitter might finally be adding night mode to its iOS app soon. Twitter has included the feature in the latest beta build for iOS.

In yet another move to boost its user base, micro-blogging website Twitter may now bring the “night mode” for iPhone users, a media report said. Last month Twitter updated its Android app and added a dark-themed mode for night time viewing to make it a little easier on the eyes. The setting is only available for beta users. The feature can be found in the app’s main menu where users can easily switch it on or off, tech website.

Night mode for iOS looks very similar to its Android counterpart with its navy blue color scheme. Once on, Night Mode switches the app to a darker colour palette which is similar to what Tweetbot and a few other third-party Twitter clients have had for some time.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to automatically turn on night mode based on what time of day it is or based on your phone’s display brightness. There is no word when this feature will publicly be launched.

Twitter launched the Night Mode feature on Android in July. The night mode replaces the white background with a darker blue appearance in a bid to make it soothing for eyes. Now, the feature has been officially started to roll out for the Android users.
