Xolo Era 4G launched in India, priced at Rs 4,777: Specifications, features

Xolo has launched a new affordable smartphone called the Era 4G. Priced at Rs 4,777, the smartphone will go on sale via Snapdeal on February 26.

Xolo recently launched the Era 4K, which was priced at Rs 6,499. Now it has launched yet another smartphone in its ‘Era’ series, called the Era 4G. The smartphone is priced at Rs 4,777 and will be exclusively available on Snapdeal from February 26 onwards. Xolo is adopting the flash sale model for this smartphone, and registrations have already begun.

The Xolo Era 4G runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, but the company has guaranteed an update to Marshmallow in the near future. It is also comes with multiple languages support, including Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi to name a few.

Xolo Era 4G specifications and features: The smartphone features a 5-inch IPS display with a HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also offers 8GB inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xolo Era 4G is backed by a 2,500mAh removable battery, which the company claims is good enough to offer up to 10 hours of talktime on 3G and 13 hours on 2G. Connectivity options apart from 4G support include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0.

At this price point, the Xolo Era 4G will be competing against the likes of the Intex Aqua Raze 4G and Infocus Bingo 21.
